Who are Kennywoods?
Welcome to Kennywoods. Browse our music and our story.
He Could've Been Great The legend of Kenny Woods has spanned decades for Luther Bailey, Rob Malone and Gay Reginelli. The three piece here used to be four cogs in the machine. You see Kenny was always great at whatever he did. Sports, he was a ferocious linebacker. Academically, he had every Ivy League school interested in him. His kindness and generosity were well known. And that's where it turned on poor Kenny. The four were well known as the Best Delta Band You Never Heard. Their band, Sixty One, were regulars on the junior college circuit. At this point in time it was all Kenny. Rumor has it he was the first person to master the Comfortably Numb solo and then for good measure he played it on banjo. You see, they could jam in the studio but only Kenny could handle the bright lights. He was a natural. Kenny's good nature saw him join the Peace Corps and help others. He fought against the British in the Falkland War and spent most of the 90s delivering vaccines. Somewhere in the late 2010s Kenny disappeared from the grid. Depending on the source, he either secretly works for SpaceX designing rockets or living off the land in Crete. Kenny just disappeared without a trace. It was further down the road that the remaining three vowed to bring the music of Kenny Woods back to life. Whether it was too much bourbon or pure brazenness they are back at it, this time with a purpose. This is what Kenny would've done and how Kenny would have played. Maybe one day he will resurface, and if you are out there Kenny, you know there's always a seat for Kenny Woods at the table.
